Lab School’s 90th Anniversary Celebration

Honoring the Legacy of Former Director Alice Eyman

The Lab School invites you to a memorable evening of great food, lively entertainment and cherished friends in celebration of its 90th anniversary. Enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres and music by local singer-songwriter Reedō while reconnecting with teachers, alumni and families. Also participate in a silent auction for the opportunity to bid on a variety of unique items and experiences, including family activities, wellness packages and much more!

During the event, we will honor Alice Eyman, a community leader in early childhood education and a retired assistant professor in the UD College of Education and Human Development, who served as the Lab School’s director for 23 years from 1982 to 2005. As director, she prioritized building relationships with families, supporting children with developmentally appropriate practices and serving the larger university and Delaware communities. Her leadership and foresight laid the foundation for the Lab School’s comprehensive curriculum, masterful staff and warm, supportive community.

While there will be other opportunities for families and their children to celebrate with the Lab School throughout the 2024-2025 school year, this event is for adults only.
